A What’s App group called “Titos” from you guessed
it the term “Titos of Manila”.
A common love for food.
An observation that nowhere in Kapitolyo can
they find a Latin American-themed restaurant.
A desire and means to put up such restaurant.
Thus was born “Tittos” Latin BBQ and Brew with an extra “T”
At least that’s how I understood it from part owner Mr. Winslow Co who related to us the anecdote while on a foodie meet up courtesy of Zomato Ph. It was Monday January 15. There were 10 of us foodies invited to experience Titto’s food and drinks.
We were served the following.
Nacho El Gigante Grande P475 (6 persons) Media P245 (3 persons)
Tortilla , beef barbacoa, tomato salsa, jalapenos, shredded lettuce,
trio of cheese, chimichurri, mexican crema.
This was one addicting dish. I loved the cheese and the greens. Yes definiitely ordering this again.
Elote P245 (on the cobe/shredded)
Char grilled sweet corn, smoked paprika butter , tamarind spice, Mayo lime, crumbled queso fresco
Surprising how delicious the dish was. I can not stop eating the corn. The smoked paprika-tamarind spice-mayo-queso rub was beautiful. I loved that it looked so simple yet packed a lot of flavor.
Don Ceviche P295
Fresh tanigue, leche de tigre, sliced onion, sweet potato, grilled corn, pop beans cilanntro
I enjoyed the fresh tanigue but Im not a fan of the sweet potato and the pop beans. Perhaps more of the cubes of tanigue?
Carne Asada Frittos P265
Thick cut fries, grilled skirt steak, mozzarella, cheddar, molten egg,
marinated tomatoes, chimichurri, gravy
This is my least favorite among the dishes served. The grilled skirt steak was a bit chewy and tough I loved the fries though.
Chicharron P650
Pork Crispy pata, spices, vinegar, chimichurri, sweet soy, crispy onion.
It was crunchy, crispy and flavorful. Definitely ordering this again.
Pollo Asado (Todo/Whole P695 3 sides, Mitad/half P375 two sides,
Un Cuarto/Quarter P195
Roast Chicken, side veggies, mango relish, chimichurri
The chicken was moist and flavorful. I loved the sweetness of the mango relish and the layers of flavor in the chimichurri. It went well with the grilled chicken.
Dulce de leche cheesecakeP195
Crushed grahams, cheesecae, dulce de leche, caramelized corn flakes chocolate, strawberry puree
The contrast in texture and flavorful was delightful. I loved the balance of sweetness and acidity.
Tamarind Cola
Again that balance of acidity and sweetness was evident . This drink was so refreshing.
