Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory Philippines opened its second Cafe branch yesterday at the 2nd level of Estancia Mall New Wing.
To say that I was excited to try their savory items apart of course from our oft-requested sweet staples TMCF is known for ,is an understatement.

House Potato Chips with Nori Aioli P180
One of my favorites! Who does not love chips and dip? I can eat this all day. Loved the Japanese twist with the incorporation of nori on the aioli
Sweet Corn Tempura with Truffle Mayo P260
Another yummy item you must order when you find yourself in TMCF. That ball of corn is something else. That Truffle Mayo?….Yum!
Crispy Kani Salad P360
This is a different version of the Kani Salad I know. The kani was deep fried and crunchy for one. There were caramelized walnuts. The greens were chopped like coleslaw with red and green cabbage plus the dressing was vinaigrette! Some of my friends were iffy about it. But I liked it! Loved how light and clean the flavor was on the palate and the crunch from the greens , walnut and edamame were a delight.

Ebiko Carbonara P345
soft boiled egg, bacon and nama cream
Dish looked pristine and dainty with the verdant green of parsley contrasting beautifully with the shock of orange from the ebiko and sunny yellow from the yolk. Pasta was aldente and delicately flavored. Think carbonara with ebiko. I have a mind to replicate this at home. This is actually a wonderful Japanese twist to a much-loved pasta recipe.
12 hour short rib sandwich P485
Price is a little hefty for a sandwich that looked modestly-sized. The combination of the sourdough loaf, tender pulled beef ribs, parsley, aioli, pickled red cabbage , mixed greens and house chips though, impressed with its amazing complex flavors and textures. One of my faves that I would not mind ordering again on my next visit.
Omu Rice Hayashi Beef P395
tomato rice pilaf, beef, onions, tomatoes, egg
This would be perfect for our piggery. The serving is huge with enough carbs and protein to satisfy a heavy eater. The contrasting color of red-orange and yellow beckons. Definitely instagram worthy

Creme Brulee Pancake P265
sweet, salty vanilla anglaise , torched sugar
The aroma of that torched sugar and the sight of that jiggly pancake just about raised the excitement level at least on our table. Pancakes were thick but soft and fluffy. Although scrumptious, I definitely would not want to finish this on my own. I will have to share the calories haha
Summer Berry Pancake P315
That Summer Berry Pancake looked so festive, it can make anyone happy. Like its Creme Brulee sister, the fluffy texture was delicious and addicting. Ill definitely order this again.
Overall, its a yay for me. Overjoyed that the cafe concept was a first all over the world. Do order their Japanese souffle, the 12 hour short rib sandwich and the Ebiko carbonara! Coffee was good too!
Can not wait to return with the piggery and handsome hubby in tow.
