If you find yourself in Ortigas, there is one Japanese restaurant in the Podium that serves good okonomiyaki among other iconic Japanese fares.
Chibo Okonomiyaki unveiled its 8 Premium Executive Set Meals that are served with rice, salad, miso soup and house blend iced tea and are also available in its Conrad S’Maison branch.

Pork belly slices where thin and flavorful . Potato salad with lettuce was delicious. Miso soup was hot and authentic.The whole set was satisfying and filling.

Seafood were generally good albeit on the cold side due to the time we spent taking pictures. I shall order this again on my return visit.

This is on my list of must-try-dishes again on my next visit. I was not able to appreciate it because it turned cold due to the time spent taking pictures.

Clearly their specialty is Okonomiyaki. All the variants are filling and deliciouEs. My favorite among the 4 is Chibo Okonomiyaki followed closely by Dotonbouri. Each serving can easily feed 2-3 people with other orders.
SHIRAYUKIHIME P588
Extra soft textured okonomiyaki with prawn, bacon, pork tomato, avocado,
cheese topped with meringue
The word shirayukihime literally translated means “snow-white” or “snow princess” thus the 3 “scoops” of meringue which mimic snow balls. It made this soft textured okonomiyaki look quite “tall”
It was certainly a different experience watching the assembly of this dish which we initially thought was dessert. Expectation vs. reality.
It turned out it was savory not sweet. But after a second or two of wrapping my head around this new idea, I became more accepting and appreciative of the different creamy and textured elements inside the dish
Overall, my favorites were the unagi, the two kinds of burger , the Pork Ju and all the okonomiyakis.
Yes the 8 Premium Executive Sets seem pricey relative to the other Japanese restaurants you have been to. But then again you get what you pay for — good food , best quality ingredients, authentic Japanese fare.
