Had a sneak peek at the latest luxe concept #LivingGrand at Grand Hyatt Manila during the media launch last November 23. With a hashtag such as #LivingGrand, I thought I was ready for what awaits at the launch. Nothing prepared me for what transpired next …. 
An elegant lobby welcome by a statuesque lady….. 
Followed by a flute of champagne…. 
Who needs David Blaine when Tom is around….
A beautiful model regaling us with quips and anecdotes while waiting for our cue to go up… Now who can beat a surprise serenade from a cool sounding tux-clad gentleman singing “Fly Me to the Moon ” on our way up to the 60th floor. Wish I took a video of our expressions the moment he hit the first note hahaha.
Introducing THE PEAK The epitome of #LivingGrand, The Peak is a confluence of a bar, grill and restaurant on the 60th to 62nd floor affording an unobstructive view of the metro below. 
Think penthouse living albeit two stories of sprawling decadent space, with your own whiskey bar, cigar room, chef’s table, music room , grill area and your very own fantastic vista.
Whiskey Bar
The Peak has a collection of rare bottles of whiskeys from Scotland. This are of the peak has sectional seating and semi private areas perfect for intimate conversations and small parties.
Function Room – an extension of Whiskey Bar
Where the Whiskey Bar is dark , this extension of the whiskey bar is bright and light. It is adjacent to the Cigar Room which is in between the Whiskey bar and its extension. The function room has a high ceiling with intricately designed wall by very famous Japanese artist Mr. Nao Taniyama. Note the cured bamboo material used by the artist. The room can seat 40 people and has its own small show kitchen where a private chef can cook for the guests
Smoking lounge
There is also an enclosed lounge for guests who want to take a puff or two.
Music room
The music room is vertically designed so that guests can also occupy the second floor affording them a lofty view of the guest artists performing below. Last November 23 , we were privileged to watch The Legacy band perform.
Grill area
The kitchen is huge. It was a joy watching Swiss Chef Manuel and his sous chef work their magic on the house specialty — steak.
The Veranda
The veranda is another area where guests can enjoy their meal. It opens to the balcony affording guests an unobstructed view of the metro below. The intricately designed metal barriers are expandable and movable converting the space to 2 rooms of 16 persons each.
