It will be Larry J. Cruz’s birthday on September 17. Larry J.Cruz created the LJC Restaurant Group which include famous brands such as Cafe Adriatico, Cafe Adriatico Express, Abe , Fely J’s Lorenzo’s Way, Bistro Remedios, Larry’s Cafe Bar, The Polka Dot Bakeshop and Cafe Havana. Larry J, Cruz was not a chef. He was a journalist, public servant, art enthusiast, publisher, restaurateur and a lover of food who would travel far for a good meal. 
LJC Month
To pay tribute to Larry J. Cruz and his achievements, LJC Restaurants Group declared September an LJC month.
September one kicked off a month long celebration which includes LJC Festival of Flavors, the annual LJC Good to Dine Campaign and Larry’s Treats.
LJC Festival of Flavors
The LJC Festival of Flavors is all about LJC Chefs’ new creations. Using Larry J. Cruz as inspiration, LJC Chefs harnessed all their creativity and passion to craft new concoctions that Larry would have loved and approved had he been still with us.
Good to Dine Campaign
Now on its 8th year, its a fund raising project for the benefit of the Cancer Institute of Philippine General Hospital. For every featured food or drink ordered, LJC donates P10.00 to the PGH Fund. It starts on LJC’s birthday on September 17 to December 31
Larry’s Treats
To celebrate Larry’s birthday and as a gratitude to LJC Restaurants Group loyal followers, all customers who dine on September 17 will have a chance to bring home a gift from their pick-a-prize-bowl.
Prizes include Cafe Havana Buffets, Overnight Stay at Abe Farm, Free Dishes, Dine-for-Free, etc.
Last Friday…
We were given a sneak preview into LJC Festival of Flavors via Zomato PH. Nine restaurants of the LJC Restaurants Group presented two new dishes each for us to experience.
For Cafe AdriaticoExpress , the new dishes created were Fish n’ Chips P195. Breaded fish fillet with French fries and tartar sauce were really good. Do not forget to squeeze lemon all over the fish.
Strawberry Shortcake P105 for dessert just hit the sweet spot. Strawberry compote on white sponge and creamy icing is simply tasty.
Two dishes from first restaurant, 16 more to go from remaining 8 restaurants…..
